Behavior is Communication are autism and behavior consultants. We work in homes, schools and group settings to create and individualized plan for the person in need. Some of the services we offer are:

Initial Assessment:
For children and adolescents: Our goal is to create a program that will help your child and is compatible with your family lifestyle and beliefs. We will meet in your home and discuss the background of your child. The initial meetings can last 2-4 hours. This allows us to discuss problems and concerns you are experiencing with your child. We will provide a written a plan of action explaining strategies that will allow you to begin implementation in your home and or community. Additional support to help with implementation is offered.
Follow up observations, consulting, functional behavior assessment and behavior support plans as needed
For adults: Our goal is to help create a program that will help with problems or concerns that are impacting your life. We will meet you in your home to discuss your background and concerns. The initial meeting can last 2-4 hours. We will provide a written a plan of action explaining strategies that will allow you to begin implementation in your home and or community. Additional support to help with implementation is offered
Follow up observations, consulting, functional behavior assessment and behavior support plans as needed
$50.00 - $75.00 an hour for consult and report depending on services
1-1 Play
Our goal is to teach your child the steps to play. We base our play program on Stanley Greenspan’s floor time model. Our therapy includes an observation of your child’s current play skills and assessment. Once the assessment is completed we will provide therapy in your home. We will model how to interact and engage your child in play. Parents will be encouraged to participate to learn the skills to engage their child in play.
$50.00 - $75.00 an hour (min. 1 hour session)
Group play setting
Social skills are a difficult concept for children on the spectrum to grasp. Our program is designed to help children learn to play and be part of a group. We create a safe structured play environment for the children to learn the steps to being a social thinker and friend. We work on play skills, emotions, perspective taking, and social skills during our sessions. We work with children ages 3 years to 12 years of age.
$40.00 an hour per child – minimum group of children 2, maximum group of children 4. Classes are 4 weeks long and meet once a week for one hour.
Community Socialization
Community outings can be difficult for some families when they have a loved one on the spectrum. Our goal is to help relieve the stress of going to the grocery store and running errands. We will attend a community outing with you and your child. A functional assessment will be completed on the behaviors that are displayed. We will provide feedback and a written report with strategies to implement for the next outing. We can also provide modeling and training with the strategies created.
$50.00 - $75.00 an hour for consult and report depending on services
Communication Systems
Communication is a basic need that every child needs. If a child is unable to speak does not mean they are unable to communicate their needs. We base our program the Picture Exchange Communication System.. We will assess your child’s current level of communication and design a program that will help them communicate their needs. There are various modes of communication – objects, photographs, picture cues, and written word. We will teach you how to implement strategies that work best for your child’s level of communication. Modeling the strategies and creation of supplies are also offered services if requested.
$50.00 - $75.00 an hour for consult and report depending on services
School Assistance
- We can attend IEP and IFSP meetings. We are available to help brainstorm goals and ideas to create a safe and fulfilling learning environment for your child.
- We are available to train and consult with teachers and other professionals on the program/strategies that have been created for your child.
- We provide observations and assessments if your child is showing frustration in their school environment.
Fees for missed or cancelled appointments:
Please cancel your session 48 hours in advance of your appointment. If you do not, your account will be charged a $25 fee.
Fees for phone calls and e-mails
Phone calls and e-mails that require more than 15 minutes for reading & responding will be billed at $50.00 an hour.
